This was one of those books that hooked me almost immediately. The premise is unique, but it's the execution that really makes it shine. There was a perfect balance of high-stakes action, suspense, and quieter moments that gave the characters room to breathe. Kamden is the kind of protagonist you can't help but root for, even with his complicated past.
I especially loved that this wasn't just nonstop action for the sake of it. The story explores what happens when someone who's only ever known one life is forced to find their place in a completely different one. It added an emotional depth I wasn't expecting and made the entire journey feel so much more meaningful.
The pacing never dragged, the writing was engaging, and every time I thought I knew where the story was heading, something would pull me right back in. By the end, I was already wishing there was more. If you're looking for a thriller that's exciting, character-driven, and impossible to put down, I'd absolutely recommend giving this one a chance.

Kamden's character, as dutiful assassin on a mission, is well thought out and well defined, bringing the reader into the unlikely position of cheering for the assassin. This is an engaging, thoughtful story that urges you as reader to keep turning that page.
